DEATH TO 2020: a perfect summary of this unlucky year!

Although this blog is dedicated to TV series, sometimes I must make an exception for your own good! That's why today I will recommend you a fantastic Netflix production that appeared on this site at the end of December 2020...

I decided to do it because some movies simply cannot be missed. Death to 2020 is a mockumentary created in collaboration with world-famous comedians. Hugh Grant, Lisa Kudrow, Samuel L. Jackson - these are just a few actors starring in this one-hour documentary. The idea of the creators of Death to 2020 was to give people a reason to laugh, summing up a year that turned our lives upside down.

The global pandemic and its consequences, political scandals, mass protests, natural disasters are the main themes of this mockumentary. At this point, you are probably wondering how it was possible to mock such a dramatic and catastrophic events? Believe me - the creators of Death to 2020 did the impossible. It turns out that we can see our reality from a very different perspective: we just need to keep a distance! Obviously, I'm talking about an emotional distance ;)

Lisa Kudrow as Donald Trump's spokesperson, or Hugh Grant as a homophobic historian are simply hilarious.

An hour in front of the TV will pass quickly and when you're done watching this fantastic mockumentary, you'll want more! Luckily for us, the creators of Death to 2020 have already announced the summary of 2021. And although we must admit that 2020 provided them a lot of material, my intuition tells me that 2021 will not disappoint them either...
