For every fan of The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco will stay Penny forever. However, time doesn't stand still. New TV series are released every day and every actor dreams of making his mark in film history with more than a role in a sitcom... 

Cuoco was given an opportunity to change her image - and she took it. That's why we can all watch her playing the main role in a new HBO TV series: The Flight Attendant.

This production is an adaptation of the book of the same title written by Chris Bohjlian. 
Cuoco plays the main character - Cassandra - an American flight attendant and a reckless alcoholic. Escaping from responsibilities, self-indulgence, and addiction – that's Cassie's whole life. As we can guess, that doesn't help her making good life choices.

One day, during a flight to Bangkok, Cassie meets a very handsome guy. Already in Bangkok, she spends a night with him. The next day, she wakes up in his bed in a hotel room... and the handsome stranger lies next to her, dead, with his throat cut. 

Cassie's terrified and shocked. Soon she runs away from the crime scene. She manages to escape from the hotel and comes back to New York where she lives. However, she's perfectly aware of the fact that the police will find her very soon. And she doesn't remember anything that happened in Bangkok! 

The FBI finds her very quickly. With the help of the lawyer friend, Cassie tries to clear her name. She tries so hard to remember what happened in Thailand. Unfortunately, her addiction to alcohol doesn't make things easier.

The Flight Attendant is a thriller full of black humor. This TV series shows us how powerful alcohol addiction is and how it can drag us down really fast. 

Kaley Cuoco as Cassie proves that she can do more than playing "the girl next door". Her new role is complex and demanding, it awakens our sympathy and disgust at the same time. 

The Flight Attendant gained huge critical acclaim and was already renewed for a second season. It's definitely one of the best TV shows of 2020.
