Emily in Paris: a new Gossip Girl on Netflix!

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that there are many TV series that are trivial, unrealistic, and don't bring anything to our lives, but we still love and watch them!

10 years ago Gossip Girl won the hearts of the young people who followed the story of young and rebellious teens in Manhattan. Luxury, intrigues, unrealistic plot twists - let's be honest - we all loved it.

This fall Netflix decided to recreate the magic atmosphere of Gossip Girl with Emily in Paris with Lily Collins in the starring role.

Emily is an ambitious manager from Chicago. She's a typical representative of her times: she's very active in social media, she lives a healthy lifestyle and her job means everything to her (a typical American girl!).

One day, thanks to a few lucky coincidences, Emily gets a chance of her life: she gets a job in an advertising agency in Paris! The woman doesn't even think twice about it and accepts the offer. She leaves all her life in Chicago (including her boyfriend) and she's off to Europe!

When she's already in France, it turns out that Paris is indeed magical, but it's hard to live in a dream without any knowledge of French and French mentality.

However, Emily is not a loser. She doesn't give up and fights against all odds. Emily is trying hard to prove to the French that America is not so cliché as they think!

Luxury, glitz, parties, amazing outfits, a picturesque Paris and the French – thanks to all these things watching Emily in Paris seems so nice.

Although the story is so unrealistic, as well as the image of Paris (shown only from the side of the historic center), we get so caught up in this TV series.

When it's so cold and grey outside, we all need to get a break from reality for a little while. That's why the colorful, crazy Paris of Emily is so attractive – even if we perfectly know that it's just a figment of the show's creators imagination. The Americans have a problem with Europe, it's obvious. They suffer from europium complexes which have an impact on the image of Europe in American movies and TV series.

Lily Collins as Emily is pretty convincing. She's perfect as a naive American girl who acts like Alice in Wonderland. The career of Lucas Bravo will definitely take off thanks to his role of Gabriel in this show.

The Flight Attendant and Kaley Cuoco in a brand-new role

For every fan of The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco will stay Penny forever. However, time doesn't stand still. New TV series are released every day and every actor dreams of making his mark in film history with more than a role in a sitcom...  Cuoco was given an opportunity to change her image - and she took it. That's why we can all watch her playing the main role in a new HBO TV series: The Flight Attendant.  Source: en.martincid.com This production is an adaptation of the book of the same title written by Chris Bohjlian.  Cuoco plays the main character - Cassandra - an American flight attendant and a reckless alcoholic. Escaping from responsibilities, self-indulgence, and addiction – that's Cassie's whole life. As we can guess, that doesn't help her making good life choices. The Queen's Gambit – one of the best TV series of 2020!

Two months ago I was pretty convinced that the fourth season of "The Crown" will be the biggest attraction on Netflix this fall. However, my opinion changed when Netflix released "The Queen's Gambit", a new mini-series based on a novel written by Walter Tevis.  Source: m.imdb.com We live in a world where it's just impossible to watch every TV series. We can choose from so many options! Of course, this situation has its pros and cons. But one thing is certain - it's more and more difficult to attract viewers. TV series are trying so hard to stand out. The story must be complicated, the action must be very fast, plot twists are indispensable...  "The Queen's Gambit" doesn't share these characteristics. And even so, it's one of the biggest hits of Netflix this fall! The series tells us the story of Beth Harmon - an outstanding chess player. The story begins in the mid-1950s when Beth is eight and sent to an orphanage. Her mom, who was ...

The fourth season of The Crown - a true masterpiece!

There are some TV series that we don't watch but we are all aware of their value. The Crown falls into this category.  You don't have to love the British royal family to watch this show. What's more, I think that The Crown is a perfect choice for everyone who is rather skeptical about the idea of monarchy in our modern world.  Source: oldaintdead.com The Crown landed on Netflix four years ago. Since then, it became a global phenomenon. The series focuses on the life of Elizabeth II. The first season begins when she becomes the queen of the United Kingdom. The next seasons show us the following decades of her reign. We get to know Elizabeth not only as a queen, but we also become witnesses of her private life. We see how she interacts with her husband, her children, her sister, etc. We admire her dedicated service to her country but we can't ignore her indifference towards her own family feelings.  The fourth season of The Crown starts in 1979. Margaret Thatcher wins par...
