Currently, Phoebe Waller-Bridge is one of the most recognizable artists in the UK. An actress and creator of TV series such as: "Killing Eve" or "Fleabag" has returned with a new fantastic show.

"Run" landed on HBO GO a few months ago but, as you already know, I like to recommend TV series that have already had their premiere some time ago. To be honest, I think it's better to start watching a TV show a little bit later, after everyone else. We don't have to wait impatiently for every new episode!
I must admit that "Run's" plot is rather unconventional. However, the very beginning of the series is pretty banal. We get to know an average, American housewife. Ruby has a boring life, a regular suburban house, a husband, and two kids. Everything seems to be fine, she doesn't have any problems. But her normal life doesn't bring her any satisfaction.
One day Ruby is already on the verge of a nervous breakdown. And that's exactly the moment when her life changes completely. The woman receives a text message from someone called Billy. The message says "Run". Only "Run", one word, nothing else. But a few minutes later Ruby leaves her own life behind and travels to New York where she meets with Billy, her old flame.
A little later we learn that 17 years ago Billy and Ruby made a pact. If one day one of them sends a message to the other, they will abandon everything and meat each other at Grand Central Station in New York. Then, both of them will travel through America.
The idea seems crazy and impossible and unrealistic. I must say it's hard to create a whole TV series based on that idea. But as we already know, nothing is impossible for Phoebe Waller-Bridge! She has already proved to us that she's not afraid of a challenge.
Domhnall Gleeson and Merritt Wever as Billy and Ruby are an incredible duo. Thanks to them, the history of their crazy escape is so interesting from the very beginning.

Run is an incredible mix of romance, thriller, and black comedy. The series consists of eight half-hour episodes so it's easy to catch up.
How will Ruby's family react to her escape? Will Ruby regret her decision? And the most important thing: why did Billy send a message? Why now?
You can find all the answers while watching "Run". I promise you won't regret it!
All the episodes of "Run" are now available on HBO GO.
