5 reasons to watch "Dead to Me" on Netflix!

Just as in the case of "Killing Eve", "Dead to Me" isn't a new TV show. The first season of this series had its premiere a year and a half ago. The second season landed on Netflix a few months ago, in May.

However, during the pandemic, we have an occasion to catch up on many TV series we couldn't watch earlier. That's why I want to recommend "Dead to Me" to all those people who still haven't decided if it's worth watching.

Why should everyone watch "Dead to Me" on Netflix?

1) For its plot

"Dead to Me" tells us a story of Jen, a 40-year-old woman whose husband died hit by a car. The woman is devastated but has to be strong for her two sons. That's why she pretends to be all right. One day, she decides to join a support group for people in mourning. That's where she meets Judy, a woman who lost her fiancé - just like Jen. Soon two women become best friends. Their friendship lasts until... Jen finds out that Judy's fiancé is alive and safe and sound!

2) For its cast

Christina Applegate as Jen and Linda Cardellini as Judy are such a dynamic duo! The roles they play are completely different and that's why the relationship between Jen and Judy is so complex and interesting. Applegate and Cardellini are phenomenal on the screen and that's why it's so easy to get caught up in this TV series.

3) For its psychological depth

Death, mourning, betrayal, revenge - the subjects of "Dead to Me" are not easy. But this TV series is a great choice for everyone who appreciates psychological movies. Every episode is a profoundly moving experience that makes us think about our own lives and the way we treat our loved ones.

4) For its black humor

It appears that a TV series that begins with the death of main character's husband just can't be funny. However, it's not the case with "Dead to Me". The show deals with the subjects of death, mourning, etc. But it's full of humor! A dark sense of humor can get anyone through hard times. That's exactly the case of "Dead to Me" characters and us, the viewers of this show.

5) For its multidimensionality

The story presented in "Dead to Me" is told from a wide variety of points of view. We get to know Jen and her situation but at the same time, we learn about Judy's life and her problems. Nothing is obvious here. Jen and Judy, both strong but very different, let us realize that there are two sides to every story.

In my opinion, "Dead to Me" won't disappoint you. This TV series deserves to give it a chance. Don't miss it!

The Flight Attendant and Kaley Cuoco in a brand-new role

For every fan of The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco will stay Penny forever. However, time doesn't stand still. New TV series are released every day and every actor dreams of making his mark in film history with more than a role in a sitcom...  Cuoco was given an opportunity to change her image - and she took it. That's why we can all watch her playing the main role in a new HBO TV series: The Flight Attendant.  Source: en.martincid.com This production is an adaptation of the book of the same title written by Chris Bohjlian.  Cuoco plays the main character - Cassandra - an American flight attendant and a reckless alcoholic. Escaping from responsibilities, self-indulgence, and addiction – that's Cassie's whole life. As we can guess, that doesn't help her making good life choices. One day, during a flight to Bangkok, Cassie meets a very handsome guy. Already in Bangkok, she spends a night with him. The next day, she wakes up in his bed in a hotel room... and the handsom...

The Queen's Gambit – one of the best TV series of 2020!

Two months ago I was pretty convinced that the fourth season of "The Crown" will be the biggest attraction on Netflix this fall. However, my opinion changed when Netflix released "The Queen's Gambit", a new mini-series based on a novel written by Walter Tevis.  Source: m.imdb.com We live in a world where it's just impossible to watch every TV series. We can choose from so many options! Of course, this situation has its pros and cons. But one thing is certain - it's more and more difficult to attract viewers. TV series are trying so hard to stand out. The story must be complicated, the action must be very fast, plot twists are indispensable...  "The Queen's Gambit" doesn't share these characteristics. And even so, it's one of the biggest hits of Netflix this fall! The series tells us the story of Beth Harmon - an outstanding chess player. The story begins in the mid-1950s when Beth is eight and sent to an orphanage. Her mom, who was ...

The fourth season of The Crown - a true masterpiece!

There are some TV series that we don't watch but we are all aware of their value. The Crown falls into this category.  You don't have to love the British royal family to watch this show. What's more, I think that The Crown is a perfect choice for everyone who is rather skeptical about the idea of monarchy in our modern world.  Source: oldaintdead.com The Crown landed on Netflix four years ago. Since then, it became a global phenomenon. The series focuses on the life of Elizabeth II. The first season begins when she becomes the queen of the United Kingdom. The next seasons show us the following decades of her reign. We get to know Elizabeth not only as a queen, but we also become witnesses of her private life. We see how she interacts with her husband, her children, her sister, etc. We admire her dedicated service to her country but we can't ignore her indifference towards her own family feelings.  The fourth season of The Crown starts in 1979. Margaret Thatcher wins par...
